Yesterday or yesteryear? The traditional British Yesterday or yesteryear?

The traditional British seaside holiday is still going strong here in Torbay.

Plenty of family fun, sandcastles and hanging around in the water.

It all felt very wholesome and 1970s as we walked home through the crowds.

Very big bottom or very small train? Hard to tell Very big bottom or very small train? Hard to tell really but it was fun (if a little hot on board). We enjoyed Lebanese lunch-by-train in Exeter at the wonderful @comptoirlibanais.

If we consumed too many calories, the sweaty walk back from the station should have sorted them out!

Probably not the look you want to adopt around tow Probably not the look you want to adopt around town but tucking your trousers into your socks is a great tip when there are ticks about, and it's too hot for gaiters.

Of course it also helps if your trousers are impregnated with insect repellent like these beauties from @rohanclothing.

Fun fact: Ticks are arachnids not insects.

Lots of us already carry a @LifeStraw personal water filter to help us keep hydrated but this LifeStraw flex bottle makes things a lot easier. Small enough to stash in a rucksack side pocket but capable of storing 700ml of water, it will get you from stream to stream in an emergency.

It's also great for travelling, through airports and when you don't trust the available tap water. I recently took mine to Turkey.
