Torbay Beaches – Breakwater Beach

March 25, 2021

Breakwater Beach is Brixham’s harbourside gem. Just a short walk from the hustle and hustle of fishing life (Brixham is a working port), this beach has some of Torbay’s cleanest water. If you’re looking for a sweep of sand, you won’t find it at Breakwater Beach but on a sunny day, the white pebbles and blue water look positively tropical. It might be hard to tear yourself away from the cafe and people watching but we would recommend wondering along to Shoalstone Pool for a second or even third outdoor swim. You could also take a longer family walk to explore nearby Berry Head, and its Napoleonic forts.
