Family Walks in Torbay

When it comes to family holidays Torbay has so much to offer visitors they return over and over again. With over twenty stunning beaches and coves, all set along a beautiful stretch of the South West Coast Path, Torbay is the perfect location for an active family holiday.

And it couldn’t be easier to visit Torbay car-free. We have two train stations just minutes from the beach and a great seafront bus service. We even have an open-topped bus in the summer.

Talk about sustainable travel heaven!!

How ever you get here, and whether you’re staying in Torquay, Paignton, or Brixham, we have the perfect family walk for you.

Happy families

The best family walks provide something for each member of the family. With detailed instructions, helpful maps, online routes, and all the parking and toilet information you need, our family walks in Torbay will take you to some of the best outdoor locations our beautiful bay has to offer.

From rocky cove to sandy beach, and even clifftop splendour, our walks have something for everyone to enjoy. If the stunning sea views aren’t enough for you, we also have history and wild life in abundance. Keep an eye out and you might even spot the local seals (keep your distance please). Nobody knows an area as well as the locals, and all our walks have been brought to you by local walkers who regularly explore this outstanding stretch of coastline. To help you find your way around Torbay we’ve included a downloadable  link to all of our routes on the fabulous route finder, OS Maps app.

To keep the little legs happy, all our walks are under five kilometres. Without stops most families take about 20 minutes to walk one kilometre. We guarantee you’ll be stopping along the way though. Our walks all  included play parks, cafes, walking games and even child-friendly maps. Most of them also have ice-cream opportunities!
